Design of an Automated Experimentation
and Data Processing Software Suite for the ADiR Sensor

FINAL PRESENTATION FINAL REPORT
The MQP at WPI is described as:

Called the Major Qualifying Project, or MQP, this project should focus on the synthesis of all previous study to solve problems or perform tasks in the major field with confidence, and communicate the results effectively. To accomplish this project I was selected to represent WPI at their Limerick, Ireland project center. I worked and lived in Limerick, Ireland for 10 weeks from August 2007-October 2007. While there I developed my technical skills in addition to my professional skills. I further developed my programming skills in National Instruments LabVIEW and Microsoft Visual Basic. I used LabVIEW to communicate with several pieces of lab equipment to choreograph numerous experiments. To compliment these experiements I developed applications in Visual Basic to process the raw data into a usable form. The automation and data processing software significantly reduced the man hours needed for experimentation and increased the rate of which data could be analyzed.
